Join us for Volunteer Days at the Old Chimney Farm!
Roll up your sleeves and put on the garden clogs! Here's an opportunity to get your hands dirty at the Old Chimney Farm . Starting in January 2010 , the 2nd Sunday of each month from 10:00am - 4pm, we invite the public to come and participate in our weekly farm projects. There are a variety of activities for all skill levels. Some of the projects we'll be working on include:preparing new planting beds, composting & worm management, harvesting, orchard management, greenhouse propagation, and more.
What to bring: work clothes, work gloves, shoes for the garden, a sack lunch, and a water botttle. Youth who would like to participate in hands-on projects are welcome with a parent.
When you plan to come: please give us a call or email ahead of time and let us know how many people you're bringing - call the on-site phone, (310) 928-3892. Orientation to garden projects starts at 10am so please arrive on time!
Please note: as this is also a private residence, we ask you not to visit on other days unannounced ~ Thanks!
